From the beginning, Bali Institute has always been inspired by people and organizations doing innovative and challenging work in Bali. Through both happy coincidences and our own research we have connected with an ever-growing number of groups working to change Bali for the better, with focus areas ranging from restoring coral reefs to empowering Balinese women to reducing waste and encouraging recycling. Bringing our program participants to learn about their incredible work and to hear their fascinating stories plays a huge role in making our programs truly unique and unforgettable experiences. We are proud to give back to these exceptional organizations through both direct donations and by utilizing services that they offer.
In 2020 we decided to double down on our efforts to give back to Bali and started our own foundation, Makadaya. We hope our new impact centre can contribute to a brighter future for Bali and it’s people.
