Our high school programs are designed to introduce teens to what it means to be a global citizen and to provide them the tools to become effective leaders in their communities. Participants will have the opportunity to volunteer in a Balinese village, with local partner organizations and program mentors guiding and supporting their efforts along the way.

They’ll also participate in leadership-building activities and reflections to help process what they are learning and discover new skills to take home. Of course, no trip to Bali would be complete without a bit of adventure. White water rafting. Surfing. SCUBA diving. Our high school programs have no shortage of excitement!

Leadership Development

Participants in our high school programs discover and expand their leadership skills through group dialogues about social issues, global challenges, and personal development, and put those skills to action during their service project. By showing students firsthand how they can impact a village and how their efforts can ripple out further into the community, they gain confidence in their leadership abilities and expand their worldview. Students return home with a greater understanding of what it takes to be an effective leader who can identify a challenge and make an impact in their community and beyond.

Community Service

Community service is at the heart of our teen programs. Students volunteer at an English camp to help young children improve their speaking skills or assist local health professionals and deliver a health education workshop for children. Students experience the challenges in these villages firsthand and see the direct impact of their efforts towards improvements in the community.

Adventure

Love the water? Imagine rafting down the rapids of the Ayung River, SCUBA diving with sea turtles and clown fish a la Finding Nemo, and catching some waves during a surf lesson along Bali’s famous coastline. Prefer adventures on land? You’ll also tie on your sarong to visit some of Bali’s mystical Hindu temples, spend the night at an eco-camp on a cashew farm, and trek through the island’s lush rice fields and jungle. There’s an adventure waiting just for you.
