These 2 and 3 week programs combine community service, leadership and adventure into one amazing experience for inquisitive, ambitious and passionate high school students. Students will shadow and assist health professionals in local Balinese villages, participate in leadership-building activities and dialogues with fellow students and program mentors, and discover the beauty of Bali’s culture and natural landscape on excursions to island’s beautiful oceans and temples.

Discover a new perspective on public health in this unique program nominated by Go Abroad as a 2018 Finalist for most Innovative New Program. You’ll study approaches to health care through two different lenses: Western convention and the indigenous wisdom of Bali. You’ll significantly deepen your understanding of the many pieces that make up the global health puzzle, especially in the developing world, where cultural competence is just as important for achieving wellness as medical ability and technology. Outside of your community service project you’ll enjoy Bali’s uplifting culture through live music and dance performances, memorable meals, and snorkeling and relaxing by the beach.
