Program Overview

Bali is an island unlike any other place on earth. Here, daily life and devotion are woven together so completely that beauty appears everywhere you turn – in flower offerings placed at doorways each morning, in temple processions winding through village streets, in the terraced rice fields that have shaped this land for a thousand years. The Balinese live by a philosophy of harmony between people, nature, and spirit, and to travel here is to feel that harmony firsthand. This journey invites you beyond the surface of the island and into its heart: its healers and artists, its royal families and rice farmers, its sacred waters and living reefs.

Your journey begins with six nights in Ubud, the cultural soul of Bali. From your sanctuary among the rice terraces, you will bathe in the holy waters of a sacred purification temple, share coffee with the visionary founder of the ARMA Museum, sit with a traditional healer, and be welcomed into a 16th-century royal palace for an evening with the Blahbatuh Royal Family. You’ll learn to cook Balinese dishes in a family compound, take tea grown by a woman honoring her farming roots, and celebrate with an extraordinary dinner at Syrco BASĒ, Ubud’s Michelin-starred culinary destination.

From Ubud, the journey continues through the misty highlands – pausing at the iconic lake temple of Ulun Danu Beratan – to the remote fishing village of Pemuteran on Bali’s quiet northwest coast. Here, three nights on the beach unfold at a gentler rhythm: snorkeling over the world’s largest coral restoration project and the pristine reefs of Menjangan Island, visiting a sea turtle hatchery, and making a magical nighttime visit to Melanting Temple, Bali’s temple of prosperity, with ample time for spa treatments and rest.

Your final two nights bring you to Sanur, a relaxed seaside town on Bali’s southeast coast, where colorful jukung fishing boats rest on a long stretch of calm, golden beach. These closing days are for savoring – wandering the beachside promenade, and gathering one last time for a farewell dinner on the sand as the sun sets over the water.
